We know getting outside is good for us. . .but we get distracted. We are sidetracked by our work, our to-do lists and a myriad of other reasons. By the end of the day, the only “outside” most of us experience is scuttling from buildings to our cars. We view the outdoor world through short dashes or through our windshields with our minds full of shoulds and oughts.
Here is a free poster to download and put on your refrigerator or office wall. It reminds you to Get Outside! It doesn’t have to be long, it doesn’t have to be a massive hike.
Just sit outside with a cup of something and listen. Smell. Quiet your mind. It’s good for you.
- Beethoven composed while walking outdoors.
- Steve Jobs conducted meetings and had creative brainstorms while on walks.
- Einstein claimed that is best thinking was done while walking outside.
