It’s that time of year again! Crisp days, pumpkin spice lattes and visits to your local pumpkin patch. In the best of all possible worlds, a great visit would mean there are no meltdowns, everyone gets along, nobody pitches a fit over not enough time in the bouncy house and mama doesn’t lose her mind. While I can’t guarantee a Hallmark moment, I can offer some freebies to make your life smoother.
First of all, some prep advice. Don’t arrive at the pumpkin patch hungry, tired and wound up. So let’s backtrack. Give kids a healthy snack on the way there. String cheese is great because protein will hold them longer than simple carbs like crackers. Apple slices with peanut butter to dip into is great too. Water, water, water because they will be running around and get thirsty, headachey and grumpy.
We don’t want to see any of this!
Secondly, give them something to do. That’s where this freebie comes in. The Pumpkin Patch Activity Sheet!
It has a word search, a scavenger hunt, and a fill-in-the-blank or, complete-the-sentence section of fun and obvious elements of the season (plus, in case there are tears, there’s an upside down key on the back, so everyone gets an “A!”)
It’s free to those who subscribe for access to my library of free printables. Free forever!
Just click on the images and you’ll be taken to the signup form. Then you can download your sheet.
