When I was dating my soon-to-be husband, I sent him an arrangement of flowers that had everyone in his office talking. The CEO received flowers! Did you see those wild things in it?
This Valentine’s Day, surprise your sweetie with an exotic message that he’s special to you. Flowers for men should have a whole different vibe and be different than flowers for women. Most men appreciate the unique and the exotic when it comes to arrangements. These plants look more like architecture and scaffolding than a bouquet.
In order to obtain these unusual blooms, you’ll need to call in your order at least a week ahead of time. And, you may have to check around to several places to find a florist that can source them. Some florists can only supply the typical roses/carnations/baby’s breath type of arrangements. The better ones will go the extra mile and design something around these choices. When your guy receives a “boyquet” with these striking plants, he’ll take notice.
This category of blooms are colorful and have exotic and fantastic shapes. They are found in Hawaii, South Africa and other warm latitudes and tropical locales. Not overtly fragrant (or even fragrant at all), their appeal is in their unusual structure. Strong shapes and silhouettes make them manly. Use this list when you call florists.
Usually red, other colors are white, green, pinkish

In this arrangement, you can see Macaw flower and lime green Anthurium lower left in front. I think there are orchids in the lower right corner and curly/corkscrew willow branches in the background. Not a whole lot of flowers but what is there is making a big statement.
Send your guy a big statement this Valentine’s Day and send him a unique “Boyquet.”
