The Purposeful Path is one you choose. It is where you have a vision, a goal and you head towards it. You may take detours, or God may lead you onto a different route than you thought you were supposed to go, but you are still on a path. You are headed somewhere. Purposefully.
On Instagram, I have a series of short “Instablogs” where I talk briefly about paths. Paths we should take, paths that didn’t work out, paths that are murky. We are all on a path. The question is, what purpose is your path leading towards? And, Who is walking with you?
🔭It’s tough when you don’t know what to do, which way to turn. The right path isn’t always so clear.
And sometimes the stakes are very high, flooding you with emotions and clouding your judgment. 💭⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📖 Proverbs 11:14 says, “There is safety in having many advisors.” 💒Who do you know who has walked your path? Maybe there’s an anonymous group you can join and bare your soul? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🚶 Look around for fellow sojourners. They will clear a path through the fog. God designed us for community, He doesn’t want you to lose your way🙏🏽⠀
. . . . .
Oftentimes we believe the lie, “If I make the wrong choice, it will mess me up forever!” This is rarely true. Situations change, people change, hearts change. What worked before might not work tomorrow. That should give you freedom. The Bible gives you freedom. Proverbs 3: 5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
God gives us our intellect, His word, wise counselors, and circumstances. When all these lineup, pay attention!
